SS-Brigadeführer Jürgen Stroop and SS dogs. Stroop commanded the suppression of the Warsaw uprising. The original owner of this scrapbook participated and took some pictures (see below). It looks as if the photo above was signed by Stroop who became (in)famous for his book-length report to Himmler "The Warsaw Ghetto Is No More". Stroop was hanged as a war criminal in Poland in 1952.

Photos from the 1943 Warsaw Uprising (above and below)

Generalfeldmarschall von Blomberg and Hermann Goering in Munich 1937. It appears as if both have signed the photo

RARE ORIGINAL SCRAPBOOK OF

SS-ROTTENFÜHRER HEINZ HEUER

WHO STARTED OUT IN THE S.A., BECAME A SS MEMBER, SERVED IN THE SS GUARD ON THE BERGHOF AND PARTICIPATED IN THE SUPPRESSION OF THE WARSAW UPRISING IN 1943 UNDER STROOP!

This scrapbook belonged to a member of the SS bodyguard battalion (SS-Führerschutz Kommando) on the Obersalzberg / Berghof. There are interesting photos of his service on the Obersalzberg. There are plenty of other photos, some signed by SS leaders, such as Juergen Stroop who commanded the destruction of the Warsaw Ghetto. In 1943 he participated in the suppression of the Warsaw Ghetto uprising and his album contains photos of killed Jews as well as the destroyed Jewish district in Warsaw. Other photos show him and his two brothers, also in German uniforms, photos of a trip to Berlin, him in SS uniform visiting his mother, one photo that appears to bear the original ink signatures of von Blomberg and Goering, etc.

Also included are several SS field post letters that he sent home and his SS Kleiderbestandsbuch, a 4 x 6 inch booklet in which clothes and equipment were documented that he was issued. All in all a very interesting and unique scrapbook!

Heinz Heuer, at that time still SS-Sturmmann

Heinz with his brothers Leo (?) and Georg

Heinz started out as a SA Brownshirt and went to the Reich Party Days in 1936

Christmas Parade 1937

there is an original ink signature on the Christmas Parade photo but we can't decipher it

Heinz obviously was at times stationed in the SS barracks in Dachau. Note the SS banner!

At the wedding of a SS comrade Werner Wolff (the photo is signed by Werner Wolf)

Warsaw Uprising 1943

above and below: two interesting shots showing how the SS guards lived on the Berghof
