VERY RARE ORIGINAL 1939 PHOTO BOOK

20. APRIL 1889 - 1939 ADOLF HITLER

PUBLISHED ON OCCASION OF ADOLF HITLER'S 50TH BIRTHDAY BY AND FOR THE WORKERS AT THE AUTO UNION CAR FACTORY

This seldom seen 7-1/4 x 10 inch, about 120 page (unnumbered) soft cover book was published in 1939 as a special publication only for the workers at the Auto Union car factories on occasion of Adolf Hitlers 50th birthday. This book was never for public sale and is the only copy we have seen in years. The book tells the entire story of the most powerful man in Europe at the time when the book was published, from his birthplace and him being a baby to the time when Germany had become the most powerful and prospering country in europe, if not the world. The Auto Union was an amalgation of four German automobile manufacturers, DKW, Horch, Audi and Wanderer. In the 1930s cars manufac-tured by Auto Union won many racing awards, only beat by the Mercedes Silberpfeil (Silver Arrow) race cars. During the war the company manufactured the chassis for the Sd-Kfz 222 armored car as well as the 'Einheits-PKW der Wehrmacht' Kfz 11. The Auto Union com-pany was the immediate predecessor of Audi as it is known today. A very rare book, full of excellent full page Adolf Hitler photographs and a ton of information about the first 50 years of his life. The back cover has separated which can be easily repaired and the front cover has some flaws along the edges, inside everything is in very nice condition.
