DER INTERNATIONALE JUDE

(THE INTERNATIONAL JEW)

NOT VERY MANY PEOPLE PROBABLY KNOW THAT FORD WAS AN ANTI-SEMITE

Henry Ford, the American industrialist and automobile manufacturer wrote a four volume set of anti-Semitic booklets or pamphlets and published them in the early 1920s in his own personal newspaper, the Dearborn Independent, to chronicle what he called the 'Jewish Menace'. In 1922 Fords' 'Internatinal Jew' was translated into German and it became an influential piece for the ideology of the Nazis. For example, Baldur von Schirach, later head of the Hitler Youth, said that he became anti-Semitic after reading it.

The Hammer Verlag in Leipzig published a two volume set with the German translation of Ford's work in two 5-1/2 x 8-1/4 hardcover books with 200 and 150 pages.
