WHAT ABOUT GERMANY?

The 6 x 8-3/4 inches hard cover book with 396 pages and numerous full page photographs was written from Louis P. Lochner, former head of the Associated Press in Berlin who got as close to the Nazi leaders for many years as no other foreign correspondent! He was forced to leave the German Third Reich after Germany had declared war against the United States and the U.S. government arrested German correspondents. His book is an unique critical eye-witness report on what was going on in Hitler-Germany from 1933 (and even before that) till early 1942! The book was printed 1942 from Dodd, Mead and Company in 1942. It is in very good condition and an excellent reference book for anyone who is interested in Third Reich history but who is not fluent in German!

Rare early photograph of Adolf Hitler, Hermann Göring and the 1934 killed SA-Leader Ernst Röhm.

Adolf Hitler, attending a performance of Wagner's "Die Meistersinger". Something must have not pleased the Führer!

The author, correspondent Louis P. Lochner with German Feldmarschall General von Reichenau at the Belgian front.
