RARE ORIGINAL 1936 SILVER CLAD PLATE FROM THE

HOTEL DEUTSCHES HAUS IN BERLIN

A NICE THIRD REICH SOUVENIR OF THE 1936 OLYMPIC GAMES

This beautiful silver clad plate has a diameter of 365mm or 14-3/8 inch. It has a bolted on base which makes the plate stand 55mm or 2-1/8 inch tall. It came from the Hotel 'Deutsches Haus' in Berlin-Zehlendorf, the district close to the Olympic Stadium where the 1936 Olympic SUmmer Games took place. The plate has a nice engraving (see below) and we assume that this was probably sold as a souvenir to guests of the hotel who attended the Olympic Games. The plate has no dings or deep scratches but a nice patina. It would clean up to its original condition but this would of course ruin the patina.
