The new "Deutschlandhalle" with room for 20,000 people (built in 1935 by the Nazis and torn down by the Senate of Berlin not too long ago) and the house of the Reichsrundfunk in the Masurenalle.

This very nice soft cover book on Berlin with 64 pages was published in 1936 in Berlin by Verlag Ludwig Simon. It is in very good condition and comes with the original dust jacket. The binding is tight and all the glossy paper pages are in very good condition. Shown are many of the main sights of Berlin plus photos of Berlin's forests and lakes region to show where the Berliner spends his freetime. All the photos are very well explained in three languages: German, English and French! The size of this very interesting book for anyone interested in the old Berlin is 8 x 10 inch.

Adolf Hitlers Reichskanzlei (Reichschancellery) in the Wilhelmstrasse. The New Reichschancellery in the Voss-Strasse was built two years later by Albert Speer in record time. On the right is the Reich President Palace.

The "Siegessäule" (Victory Column) and the "Reichsehrenmal" (Reich Honor Monument), both on the "East-West Axis", the impressive marching street that goes through half of Berlin.

The City Hall (today seat of the acting Mayor of the reunited Berlin) and the "Stadthaus".
